Six weeks on the hard. What follows is what it cost, what I supplied myself, and the two things I would argue harder about next time. The short version: the yard did good work, the rudder bearing was worse than the survey said, and antifouling you buy yourself is antifouling you do not pay a 60% markup on.
What the yard found
They stripped her to gelcoat below the boot stripe and pulled all fifteen seacocks. Three were original bronze, seized, and came out in pieces. The rudder bearing had play the survey logged as "monitor" and the yard logged as "replace this season." Both were right on the day they looked; the difference is a haul-out and a spare in the bilge.
Seajet 038 antifouling
Two seasons on a Caribbean bottom before it wanted attention. Wants the 015 primer on bare gelcoat — do not skip it.
